Traveling to Pelion Volos.
There are many ways of getting to Volos and the Pelion Peninsula. The Pelion region is located in Thessaly, which is almost half way between the capital of Athens, and the northern Greek city of Thessaloniki. Below is a brief overview of the various ways in which you travel to Pelion.

Air Travel
Travellers can fly-in to the nearby Volos airport of Anhialos, although this airport only operates during the summer season.
There are also the airports in Larissa, Athens, Thesaloniki and the nearby island of Skiathos, these are flights that you should be able to find all year round.

Coach Travel
The KTEL bus service operates many routes that lead directly into the city of Volos. There are many services daily arriving from and departing to Athens (210 8317 186), Thessalonika (2310 543087) and Patra (2610 222164), as well as other smaller cities around Greece.

Rail Travel
The Greek National Railway (OSE) offers travel to and from Athens (210 524 0646), via Larissa and Thessaloniki (2310 517517).

Ferry Boat Travel
There are also "Flying Dolphins" seacraft (24210 39 786/787) That run between Skiathos and Volos.
